DEAR PRIVILEGED PEOPLE

Thank you for realizing that nobody can beat you up in your own shit because most of us dont qualify to be in your category.

So quit being so patronizing about what is happening out there when you have no idea about what someone else is going through.

Dear privileged people,

No thanks for your generous help, but I guess I wont be able to repay it anytime soon.

What I am able to do is give my level best to help you go through your shit. One step at a time. But we can not always be aligned in matters.

Maybe you are ambitious in terms of material possession. I am ambitious spiritually or I believe in volumes of kindness. We can still co-exist together, but you find it hard to do so.

It's always the ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching that spells security for you.

I spell security with different letters and it doesnt sound the same at all with you. Sorry I could not be bothered to be heard last time. Maybe this time I want you to listen but never mind it's too late to do so.

So I send you back to your sheltered safe space. It doesnt matter if I am not willing to do it. What matters is if my head is in the right space to deal with this.

Dear privileged people,

Thank you for the harsh words you threw at me. Thank you for the shades you threw at me. Thank you for not being able to be there when I need it the most because you are afraid to lose your privileges.

Thank you, because in the end, it makes me realize aint nobody got time to be belittle for these kind of things. Because it makes me realize no matter what social class we came from, no matter how different we are, everyone's dignity and self esteem has a price. Not just yours is valid.

Dear privileged people,

Thank you for still reading this. Thank you for having that doubt in yourself now. Thank you for being grateful you were never one of us.

Sincerely,

Just another face in the crowd for you.
