SO WHAT IS YOUR IDEA FOR TODAY?

An idea is not a great one if someone is just passionate about it, an idea becomes a great idea when it's being act upon.

Today I received my Reddit Santa gift. However, I forgot to post mine to my giftee as well. I had brainstormed for gift ideas (it's stationery season and my giftee merely asked for a good notebook in which she can write all of her recipes). I've scoured a few websites, listing down all the notebooks that (I think) would fit her request.

But then, these ideas to make someone's day were pushed to the back of my mind and for days it lingers there.

I received final email from Reddit this evening reminding me I haven't post my gift yet, where as my Santa has posted mine. This is what we called an incomplete circle.

Ideas are like dotted lines, that comes to a full circle when it is executed. An idea, no matter how good the prospect of it, how high the merits could be, will forever be dotted lines without end.

Now you're asking what if an idea doesn't materialize into expected outcome. It will still be a full circle, because once an idea is executed, the last dot is the outcome, that meets the first dot (the income of an idea) regardless of the scenarios. This is what we call trial and error, along the lines we will be making many shapes, not just circles, eventually making the right circle and calling it a day.

But then, an outcome is also a manifestation of what we are as a person. An idea doesn't recognize you as a person (or your personality), rather the outcome speak of who you are and what you're capable of doing.

In this, my idea represent a good intention, but having not execute it, doesn't produce any outcome (either good or bad). An incomplete circle is even worse than a completed bad circle; at least you can eliminate the many scenarios of an outcome. I could not speak of the outcome of my ideas (the supposed reaction of my giftee) and can only conclude I'm a poor executioner. My original idea doesn't have the intention to have me as the outcome.

I am off to the bookshop. Online shopping only made me procrastinate further. Does anyone notice that?
